I have been in the business world all of my adult life and looking back I feel good about the results. I am a self-confessed people person. My inspiration for writing Leading Through Relationships was to share the knowledge I gained while attending the school of hard knocks.

The information in this book was gleaned from firsthand experience within the HVAC industry, supervising and working with mechanics, technicians, dispatchers, parts managers, warranty clerks, customer service representatives, control techs, billers, collections, operations managers, commercial maintenance sales, residential maintenance contract sales, and residential sales & installation crews and supervisors. The golden nuggets I have shared here are centered on people - those who work in the office and out in the field, interacting with customers on a regular basis.

If you want to know how to keep your employees focused on common goals, value their coworkers for what each one contributes to the team, build lasting relationships with third generation customers, please read the story of my of 37 years in the HVAC industry. It’s filled with knowledge gained through experience, the wisdom gained from looking back and the occasional splash of laughter.
